MAINTENANCE CONCERNS
If you encounter a maintenance concern in your unit, please contact the Camping Office by calling 585-599-5523. Maintenance will be to your unit as soon as possible. If you are not present in the unit at the time of maintenance’s arrival, maintenance staff may enter your unit unless it is requested that we wait for your return. In this case, we cannot guarantee when maintenance may be able to tend to your unit.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Quiet Hours are between 11pm and 7am. Please respect your fellow guests; times will be enforced by security.
- If you need to leave the property, each guest must have their accommodations wristband on as well as the provided car hang tang visible on the rearview mirror to gain access back into the facility. Your safety is our priority and ensuring only registered guests are permitted into the hotel/campground area is our goal.
CHECK IN/OUT TIMES
Rental unit check in time is 4pm and check out time is 11am. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate early check ins/late check outs. You are welcome to arrive to the campground prior to check in time and if your unit is ready and available we will check you in. If your unit is not available you are welcome to leave your car in the General Store parking lot and head into the theme park (park admission is sold separately).
Check in/out times may vary based on seasonality. Be sure to check your arrival email that is sent about a week before your stay.
THEME PARK ACCESS
Park admission is sold separately from lodging reservations. You must obtain park admission on your own if you wish to visit the theme park. Park admission can be purchased online HERE. To walk to the theme park, please head up to Darien Square and walk past Beaver Brothers Lakeside Café. Follow the pathway between Boomerang and the lake to be brought to the park entrance.
LAKE ACCESS
Both Darien Lake and Apple Lake on property do not allow swimming, boating, kayaking, or any other lake activities. Catch and release fishing is welcome from the shore.
CASHLESS PROPERTY
Six Flags Darien Lake is a cashless property. Cash is not accepted anywhere on property (with the exception of hotel vending machines and the laundromat in the campground). US Cash can be converted to a prepaid VISA card at one of our ReadyCard stations located throughout the park. The closest ReadyCard station is in the General Store located in Darien Square.
TRASH DISPOSAL
Trash receptacles are located throughout the campground and are emptied routinely for your convenience. We kindly ask that all trash is placed in the dumpsters only. Please do not leave trash in your rental unit, on your site, at the road, or on the ground around the dumpster. Please do not burn or leave any trash in your campfire pit. Trash fees for trash left behind in your unit start at $25. Our Campground Map shows where dumpsters are located.
WIFI SERVICE
FREE WIFI SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR: LAKESIDE/VILLAGE CABINS, DELUXE CABINS, AND GUEST HOUSES ONLY. To connect to WiFi please select the WiFi name that matches the unit number you are occupying, then enter password SFDL2020.
CABLE TV
CABLE TV AVAILABLE FOR: LAKESIDE/VILLAGE CABINS, DELUXE CABINS, AND GUEST HOUSES ONLY. For a channel guide, please press the blue “Guide” button on the top left hand side of your remote. If you experience issues with your TV please call the Camping Office at 585-599-5523.
GAS GRILLS
Gas grills are available at Deluxe Cabins and Guest Houses. The gas grills are connected to the unit and do not require the use of a propane tank. Grills cannot be moved between units.
CHARCOAL GRILLS
Charcoal grills are available at Lakeside/Village Cabins and Baby Bear Cabins. Charcoal is not provided, but can be purchased at the General Store located in Darien Square. Grills cannot be moved between units.
HOUSEKEEPING
Housekeeping is not provided during your stay. Should you have housekeeping concerns please contact the Camping Office by calling 585-599-5523.
UNFURNISHED UNITS
All rental units come unfurnished meaning household items are not provided. You need to bring your own sheets, pillows, blankets, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, toiletries, grilling utensils, etc. Please view our helpful packing lists below:
LAUNDROMAT
A coin operated laundromat is located in the campground behind the General Store and is available for guest use. The laundromat is box “C” on the Campground Map.
DINING OPTIONS
- Beaver Brother’s Lakeside Café is located in Darien Square outside of the theme park entrance. Beaver Brothers offers a daily breakfast buffet each morning from 8:30am-11am. Beaver Brothers is also open for lunch and dinner and features a cafeteria style BBQ concept.
- Pizza in the Square is located in Darien Square outside of the theme park entrance. Pizza in the Square offers pizza and other snack options for lunch or dinner.
- The General Store is located in Darien Square outside of the theme park entrance. The General Store offers snacks, drinks, grab and go deli salads, and more! The General Store also features a Subway and Tim Hortons. TIP – The General Store is also a great stop for some Darien Lake gear to take home with you!
All restaurants hours are subject to change based on seasonality and staffing availability.
GOLF CART RENTALS
Golf cart rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis at The General Store located in Darien Square. 4 seater and 6 seater carts are available and must be rented for a minimum of 2 days.
IN UNIT REFRIGERATOR
Just like your fridge at home, items that are warm that are placed in the fridge will take some time to cool down. Overfilling the fridge will also slow the cooling process. The fridge/freezer is set at the proper cooling setting and should not be adjusted. Adjusting the fridge/freezer temperatures risks causing the fridge to freeze over and become non-functional.
IN UNIT TEMPERATURE CONTROL (HEATING/AC)
Each unit is equipped with a temperature control unit. Feel free to adjust the A/C and heat settings as needed, however to ensure your unit does not freeze over and become non-functional, please do not set your unit to lower than 68 degrees. To ensure unit is kept cool, please keep doors and windows closed. Should you experience issues with your unit please notify the Camping Office by calling 585-599-5523.
IN UNIT OVENS
Some units come equipped with ovens. Should you choose to use the oven, the pilot light may need to be lit by maintenance. Please contact the Camping Office at 585-599-5523.
CAMPFIRES
FIRE RINGS ARE ONLY GUARANTEED AT CABIN RENTALS. You are welcome to have a campfire at any site. There should be an area on the ground where previous guests have had fires. Please ensure your fire is controlled and monitored at all times. Firewood is for sale at the General Store located in Darien Square.
PETS
Rental units where a pet is occupying must pay a $75 pet cleaning fee. Pets are welcome in campground rental units and campsites. All pets must have updated rabies, distemper, and kennel cough record copies at the Camping Office. Please drop these papers off upon arrival. For more information regarding pets please view our Pet Policy.
Pets are not permitted in the theme park with the exception of service animals as recognized by the ADA.
ADJUST YOUR STAY OR MAKE RESERVATIONS
To make adjustments to your stay or make a new reservation please contact our Reservations Office at 585-599-2211. We are open 7 days a week 9am-5pm. Or you may contact the Hotel Front Desk or Camping Office.
SMOKING AREAS
All units are non-smoking. Please ensure you are smoking outside of your unit. Marijuana and marijuana enriched products are prohibited on property.
Disconnecting smoke alarms is a federal crime resulting in immediate eviction and fines.
